13 Mar Aura Beauty Feels Fab…
With the day to day running of the salon it’s often easy to forget the outside world and what is going on around us! That’s why when an opportunity to get involved in the community and help those in need presents itself we like to help in anyway we can!
The Look Good Feel Fab campaign is something I’ve been involved with from the very start alongside founder Jemma Cooper! The campaign was founded with the thought of providing free treatments for those in need, concentrating on the elderly and those in residential care who don’t often get the chance to feel or be pampered!
This was something I have always wanted to be involved with and snapped up the opportunity straight away! With over 600 hours of free treatments performed our very first campaign was a huge success and of course Aura Beauty took part and provided treatments at the lovely Avon View Residential Care Home!
We loved it! It was such a pleasure getting to meet not only the residents but also the staff and volunteers at the care home! There was such a buzz around our visit and everyone was excited to take part in treatments! We offered hand scrubs and massages, file and polishes and mini back massages to both residents and volunteers and got some very lovely feedback.
We also got to meet some amazing people, volunteers who not only dedicate hours of their time to the residents and various activities but also the residents themselves who certainly had some stories to tell. We had residents of 100+, some being given medals for their help in the war effort and a gentleman who helped build the Bailey Bridge in Christchurch!
The Look Good Feel Fab campaign has now rebranded as the Feel Fab UK campaign and will be running throughout the year so there will be plenty of opportunities for Aura Beauty to get involved – if you are a volunteer at a residential home or know someone who is please don’t hesitate to get in touch OR if you are a therapist who wants to help you can get in touch here!
